Kit Bipolar Motor Stepper Driver
This is a useful kit for driving bipolar stepper motors that have 4 or more wires. A 6-wire unipolar stepper motor, with two separate 3- wire stators, can be operated like a 4-wire bipolar stepper motor by not connecting the two common wires. This kit can operate either freestanding or PC-controlled. The motor can be stepped, in single steps, with the STEP input. The direction of rotation can be set with the DIRection input. Both inputs are opto-isolated with the 4N25 optocouplers and should be controlled with externally connected 5Vp-p pulses / levels. The kit and stepper motor may have separate supply voltages. This innovative kit makes use of standard 4013 and 4030 CMOS ICs, four MTP2955 and four IRFZ44 high current MOSFETs to drive the four outputs. Specifications: Supply Voltage: (kit) 8 - 30Vdc (stepper motor): 5 - 50Vdc Trigger Voltage: 5Vdc Trigger Current: 4.3mA Supply Current: kit: 100mA max. stepper motor: 6A max. per winding Dimensions: 75 x 86mm, 25mm height
